Engineering Project Manager £65-70k plus package Suffolk Engineering Project Manager opportunity – ideal for someone wanting to draw on those skills and progress their career into project management in a business with a diverse customer base in the UK and internationally. Great leadership in place setting a positive and progressive culture. FMCG or Food industry background essential within the engineering specialism required. What you'll be doing: Managing projects, able to lead from start to finish: You’ll be in charge of making sure things are on track, on time, and on budget. Delivering mechanical engineering, production, H&S improvements. Taking a proactive approach to ensure all projects are delivered ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum. Working with different teams: You’ll work closely with engineers, production staff, and other key players so clear communication is critical. Be seen as a key part of the site team, contributing to the overall efficiency of the operation. Things don’t always go as planned and this role needs someone who can think around the issues and blockers that arise in all manufacturing environments. Quality is everything and this will be part of your remit along with everyone else involved in producing the end product. What we’re looking for for this vacancy: A background in food or FMCG manufacturing. Engineering background in one of the above manufacturing sectors - essential. Project management skills. Strong communicator: You’ll be working with internal and external project stakeholders with in various disciplines so you need to be able to explain things clearly and work well with others. Problem-solver: When things don’t go as planned, you’ll need to come up with practical solutions quickly. Organised and detail-oriented: You’ll be managing multiple tasks at once, so being organised with attention to detail is key. Solid understanding of CMMS’s, familiarity with Excel and Microsoft Project. A flexible approach – things happen in the food industry out of hours and there may be times you are needed Why this business? You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team.
