Automation Test Engineer

We are working closely with a well known Consultancy in their search for an Automation Test Engineer to join the growing team on a permanent basis. This is an onsite position in either Gloucester, Manchester and London, with some flexible working arrangements. Due to the nature of the projects you will be involved in, you must already hold an active UKC DV Clearance. In this role, you will be part of a highly Agile team and working on large and complex programmes with wide ranging technologies. Key Responsibilities: Deliver Test capability, automated solutions, to support mission critical solutions Define and execute test activities either independently or within a team Identify Testing solutions, specifically automated solutions, to reduce software time-to-market Translate business and technical requirements into comprehensive testable scenarios Key Requirements: Hands-on in aiding and implementing test strategies with a strong understanding of the Modern Testing Principles Solid experience of the SDLC, agile methodologies/principles and dev-ops tools/techniques Track record for delivering quality Automated Test solutions in a fast-paced dynamic Engineering environment Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, analytical, planning and written/verbal communication skills and an aptitude to learn new technologies quickly Self-motivated and able to inspire others in test best practice, focused on Quality outcome Experience of working with Test Automation tools/frameworks for varying application layers, utilising techniques such as TDD, BDD, CI/CD ISTQB Certified Don't miss out on this opportunty to be at the forefront of ensuring the capabilities supply to the national security and defence customers is of the best quality.
