Principal Mechanical Engineer

Role: Principal Mechanical Engineer Location: Kingston-Upon-Thames Flexible and hybrid working arrangements UK CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION CLEARANCE TYPE: UK-Security Check (SC) iO Associates are on the lookout for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead innovative projects in mechanical design, FEA, and CFD for a well known aerospace and defence company. You'll collaborate with customers, manufacturers, and test houses, overseeing designs and ensuring compliance with standards and processes. Key Responsibilities: Act as the Subject Matter Expert for mechanical design Lead FEA, CFD, and mechanical/electro-mechanical design activities Review and approve technical documentation, including drawings and BOMs Provide leadership to the mechanical team and resolve design challenges What You'll Need: Significant experience in Mechanical Design Engineering An engineering degree (or equivalent experience) Knowledge of Defence Standards and strong problem-solving skills Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment Role Clearance Type: You must be able to gain and maintain the relevant UK Government clearance in line with the job role (SC) Please apply on the link below or contact us if you want to know more about the role and company.
