Group Tax Manager Location: London, United Kingdom Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent, Hybrid Reporting To: Group Tax Director Are you an experienced tax professional looking for an exciting opportunity within a global real estate group? Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Group Tax Manager to join their team in London, supporting operations across 20 countries. About the Role This role offers the chance to work closely with the Group Tax Director, taking ownership of tax reporting, managing the outsourced tax compliance function, overseeing risk management, and providing vital support for transactions. You’ll be a key contributor in ensuring the Group meets its tax obligations and strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities Tax Planning & Transactions Provide technical and commercially relevant tax advice on projects, restructurings, and transactions. Support investment teams by identifying tax implications of acquisitions and disposals, managing due diligence, and liaising with tax authorities. Tax Compliance Collaborate with the finance team and external service providers to manage tax compliance across the Group. Lead tax audits, liaising with external advisers and responding to tax authority queries. Oversee tax payment processes to ensure timely payments. Manage compliance with withholding tax requirements and REIT regulations, including annual compliance activities. Tax Reporting Prepare year-end and half-year schedules for financial reporting and audits. Manage the audit process and provide technical support for quarterly tax provisions. Maintain accurate and comprehensive transaction and audit status reports. Transfer Pricing Assist in setting and managing transfer pricing policies and documentation, including Masterfile and Local file preparation. Risk Management & Education Act as the key owner of internal controls for tax risk management, updating risk tables and mitigating new risks. Educate the wider business on tax matters and internal processes Skills and Experience Required Qualified Accountant (ICAEW, CTA or equivalent) with strong analytical skills. Broad knowledge of European tax regimes and typical real estate structures. Experience managing multinational tax compliance portfolios. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex tax issues clearly to non-tax professionals. Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with finance systems (preferred but not essential). What’s in it for You?
