Accounting Professional I Contracting Perm

If you have completed your Articles and have working experience beyond this, we want to hear from you Qualifications and Experience: Minimum: Honours Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed their Articles. 6 years of relevant work experience, preferably within banking or financial services. Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders. Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks and deadlines. Must be able and willing to travel to clients. Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare accurate and comprehensive financial statements, adhering to IFRS, GAAP, and regulatory requirements. Assist with internal compliance reviews and ensure adherence to industry regulations and company policies. Financial Analysis & Strategic Planning: Conduct detailed financial analysis, identifying key trends and variances, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making. Collaborate with the finance team in developing budgets, forecasts, and financial models to facilitate strategic planning and resource allocation. Taxation & Cash Management: Support tax planning and ensure timely preparation and submission of tax returns, adhering to applicable tax laws and regulations. Monitor cash flows, optimize working capital, and manage treasury functions to ensure adequate liquidity. Financial Systems & Process Improvement: Utilize accounting software and financial tools effectively to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities. Personal Attributes: Proactive and self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset. Ethical and trustworthy, maintaining the highest standards of integrity. Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
