Technical Procurement Officer (Midrand/Edenvale)

MINING/RAIL INDUSTRY Manage the RFQ/supplier selection process and ensure the timely placement of purchase orders and delivery of materials to meet company order requirements as well as ensuring that procurement execution is in line with Quality, Cost, Delivery and Transformation/BBBEE. Recognised qualification in Procurement Management and/or Supply Chain Management A technical qualification , e.g. Diploma or Degree in Engineering Certification (CIPS - Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply chain management) 5 years reliable experience in the logistics and/or rail maintenance industry At least 5 years experience in technical/buying relating to locomotives and/or yellow equipment At least 5 years experience in managing supplier relationship Knowledge of Sourcing ,quality activity, proficiency in using procurement software and tools(ERP) Knowledge of railway industry (norms, certification) Negotation skills
