Bookkeeper

My client is seeking a skilled professional to take charge of financial record-keeping and play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day financial operations. This role is based in Braamfontein, Johannesburg CBD. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee the accurate processing of supplier invoices and debtor receipts for local and international transactions. Perform regular creditor reconciliations to ensure timely payments and manage credit notes. Review and approve staff expense claims and reconcile credit card expenses. Maintain accurate financial records in Xero, ensuring compliance and completeness. Prepare and reconcile the fixed asset registers and age analyses while managing weekly payable and receivable reporting. Treasury Management: Monitor bank balances across multiple entities and prepare weekly cash flow forecasts. Facilitate stipends, loans, and payments via service providers, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Handle local and foreign payment processes, including liaising with banks and ensuring compliance with regulations. Manage credit card administration and banking compliance, KYC requirements and annual exchange control applications. In-Country Support: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors. Provide transparent communication and maintain service delivery standards across all levels. Education and Skills Requirements: Completed Diploma/Degree in Accounting/Finance A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role Solid financial accounting and financial control experience Solid background in and a sound understanding of accounting If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
