Paint-shop Maintenance Technician (Automotive)

Job Description
The main objective of this position is to provide management support in the day to day operations of the maintenance department in order to achieve targets, goals or objectives set out by the company. Key Responsibilities • Maintaining all production machine and equipment, both electrical and mechanical in the Paint-shop Equipment & Utilities Plant • Reading diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. • Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions so as to eliminate or reduce breakdowns • Ensuring operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations • Participating in the PM program on all equipment for continuous improvement of all machines • Conducting breakdown, preventative and predictive maintenance tasks • Maintaining high level of liaison and interaction with other departments • Ensuring effective cost control • Cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance work on machineries • Leads apprentices and directs them to ensure successful task completion • Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances • Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area • Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation • Performing other related duties as assigned • Understanding Paint-shop process technology • Understanding painting application • Should be able to read Electrical drawings(E-plan) • Should understand PLC basic logic diagrams • Should understand pneumatic drawings EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS (QUALIFICATION & TRAINING) Have a Degree or Advanced Diploma in Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Minimum 2 years in an Automotive Industry experience
