Ansible Operations Engineer (Senior) 1185

Location: South Africa (Preference for South African citizens/residents) Contract Duration: 3 Years Team: High Performance Computing Simulation Essential Skills & Experience: Strong experience with Ansible Core and Automation Platform . Proficiency in AWS and Azure cloud technologies. Expertise in Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, SLES) and IaC (Terraform). Experience with GitHub and version control systems. Strong knowledge of scripting languages like Bash and Python . 3 years in IT operations and automation. ITIL and Scrum experience. Advantageous Skills: Dynatrace , Splunk , Red Hat Satellite experience. Ansible certification (RHCE), Linux certification (RHCSA) . ServiceNow , GitOps , VMware , Private Cloud knowledge. Qualifications: Degree in Information Systems or equivalent. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles. Deploy, manage, and operate workloads on AWS and Azure . Implement security controls and compliance requirements. Create and manage IaC with Terraform . Perform lifecycle management for operating systems and Ansible. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and assist in automation migrations. Manage GitOps , Jira user stories, and maintain up-to-date documentation. Provide mentorship to junior team members.
