Data Platform Lead

Data Platform Lead Remote / London office £110k bonus Permanent HL12239 Finatal is currently partnered with a technology-enabled business in the creatives industry that has had recent investment from one of the largest technology-focused Private Equity Funds. They are going through fast-paced growth and investing in their internal data platform to drive product efficiency and optimisation. They are now looking for a Data Platform Lead to develop and implement the new strategy for their data platform from cost allocation and team mentorship during the migration to the new platform. Role: As the Data Platform Lead you will use your technical expertise to implement the new data platform strategy enabling self-service and optimised consumption of data products. Reporting to the Director of data you will be working across the AWS stack to create a solution to solve the bottlenecks caused by their disparate data, building a single source of truth and solution to ingest and categorise data. Driving a data governance strategy and adoption across the business ensuring the data is trustworthy and can be utilised for forecasting. Collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders to ideate and build out the data mesh and platform migration, supporting Data Engineers, Analysts and BI users to speed the process up. Requirements: Track record in a similar role, such as Lead Data Platform or Data Engineer position or from a Tech platform side. Technical expertise across the AWS stack including, IaC, maintaining and optimising ETL pipelines and CI/CD pipelines and writing automated tests. Experience in one OOP language such as Python, Java or Scala and writing SQL. You will need strong stakeholder management experience working with technical and non-technical teams to align priorities. Nice to have experience in Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, DBT, and BI tool Tableau.
