3D Laser Scanning Technician

The LiDAR Reality Capture Specialist will be responsible for capturing, processing, and delivering high-quality 3D data using LiDAR technology for a variety of projects. This role requires technical expertise in LiDAR systems, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively with clients and internal teams to meet project requirements. Key Responsibilities: LiDAR Data Capture: Operate LiDAR equipment to capture high-precision 3D data in various environments. Plan and execute field surveys, ensuring accurate data collection. Conduct site assessments to determine optimal equipment setup and capture strategies. Data Processing: Process raw LiDAR data using specialized software to create detailed 3D models and point clouds. Ensure the accuracy and quality of processed data, applying necessary corrections and adjustments. Integrate LiDAR data with other data sources to create comprehensive models. Project Management: Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Manage project timelines, ensuring on-time delivery of LiDAR data and models. Document project processes and maintain accurate records. Client Interaction: Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored LiDAR solutions. Present findings and deliverables to clients, explaining technical details in an accessible manner. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction with services provided. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of LiDAR data. Review and validate data before final delivery to clients. Stay updated on industry standards and best practices in LiDAR technology and data processing. Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for LiDAR equipment and software.
