Location: Remote (Johannesburg-based) Compensation: Competitive, USD-based salary Industry: Financial Services / Banking Transformation Client: Leading Transformation Project for the Largest Bank in Zimbabwe About the Role Our client is embarking on a transformational project to revolutionise the operations of Zimbabwe's largest bank. They are seeking a highly experienced professional to join the Group Enterprise Architecture and Infrastructure function. This role requires a dynamic, adaptable individual with a proven background in the financial services or insurance industries. The successful candidate will: Design, implement, and align enterprise architecture frameworks and IT infrastructure strategies to meet business transformation goals. Ensure technological innovation, scalability, and operational excellence within a complex financial institution. Operate at a group level to deliver enterprise-wide solutions. This position offers the opportunity to earn in USD, work remotely, and make a significant impact on a major financial transformation project. Key Responsibilities 1. Enterprise Architecture Development o Lead the development and implementation of enterprise architecture strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. o Provide strategic direction for IT infrastructure initiatives, ensuring robust, secure, and scalable solutions. o Oversee architecture design for applications, systems, networks, and cloud-based solutions. 2. Transformation and Integration o Drive IT transformation within the bank, modernising infrastructure and enterprise systems. o Develop blueprints for integrating new technologies into legacy systems with minimal disruption. o Ensure seamless migration and integration strategies for business-critical platforms. 3. Governance and Compliance o Establish architecture governance processes and frameworks for system consistency and alignment. o Ensure IT systems meet regulatory and compliance standards across regions. 4. Stakeholder Collaboration o Work closely with C-level stakeholders to translate business objectives into IT solutions. o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and delivery of project milestones. o Serve as the bridge between business needs and technical capabilities. 5. Innovation and Emerging Technologies o Recommend and integrate innovative technology solutions, keeping the organisation competitive in the market. o Evaluate and implement cloud technologies, cybersecurity frameworks, and infrastructure modernisation practices. Key Requirements Professional Experience: - 812 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture and Infrastructure roles. - Proven experience in financial services or insurance industries is essential. - Track record of designing and implementing large-scale IT architecture transformations. - Balanced career history: o No more than 10 years in a single role. o Avoiding excessive job-hoppingdemonstrating stability with progression. Technical Skills: - Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman). - Expertise in infrastructure solutions, including cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), network architecture, and enterprise systems. - Experience with legacy-to-modern system transformations. - Proficiency in cybersecurity principles and IT governance. Soft Skills: - Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication abilities. - Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical and critical-thinking skills. - Ability to work autonomously in a remote, high-pressure environment.
