Job Description
The Imports and Exports Buyer will manage international procurement, coordinate with suppliers, negotiate contracts, ensure compliance with customs and policies, and maintain accurate documentation. This role is critical to ensuring seamless supply chain operations, optimising procurement efficiency, and supporting the organisations ability to meet customer demands in a competitive global market. As an Imports and Exports Buyer, you will be responsible for: Manage import and export procurement processes. Ensure compliance with customs regulations and organizational policies. Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders. Negotiate with vendors and manage cost-effective procurement strategies. Oversee documentation processes and ensure adherence to relevant laws. Monitor and report on supplier performance and supply chain effectiveness. Conduct market research to identify and source international suppliers. What Do You Need?: Relevant tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in import/export procurement roles. Strong knowledge of customs regulations and supply chain processes. Proficiency in SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems. Exceptional organizational and negotiation skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
