Engineering Electrician

Requirements Education: Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Trade Certificate is Compulsory Vocational or technical certification in electrical operations is an advantage. 2-4 years of experience in a FMCG environment Previous experience as an electrician in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred. Experience with food manufacturing or similar environments is an advantage. Responsibilities Conduct regular maintenance of electrical systems, circuits, and components of machinery used in the snacks production process. Install new electrical equipment, machinery, and control systems. Assist in the upgrading of existing electrical systems and machinery to improve efficiency or comply with updated regulations. Ensure new installations comply with company standards and safety regulations. Maintain and troubleshoot control systems, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and SCADA systems used in production lines. Ensure all sensors, actuators, and electrical components of automation systems are operational. Perform regular inspections, testing, and maintenance on electrical components to prevent breakdowns Ensure all electrical work complies with standards, safety policies, and risk assessments, following lockout/tagout procedures for safe operation. Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, inspections, and modifications, while reporting issues to management and recommending corrective actions. Work closely with production staff to ensure electrical systems operate correctly and meet production needs. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
