The Role As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. You will create a positive learning environment, foster a love of literature and language, and inspire students to achieve their academic potential. Key Responsibilities: Teach English to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, focusing on both language and literature Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners Support students in preparing for GCSE examinations Contribute to the development and improvement of the English department’s curriculum and teaching resources Provide constructive and regular feedback to students to support their academic growth Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture that fosters engagement and participation Engage with parents and guardians to keep them informed about students' progress Take part in professional development and school-wide initiatives The Ideal Candidate They are looking for an enthusiastic and committed teacher who: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification Has a degree in English or a related subject Has experience teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, with a focus on English Language and Literature Demonstrates strong classroom management and the ability to create an engaging learning environment Is passionate about student success and committed to professional growth Works well as part of a collaborative team Desirable: Experience teaching A-Level English (not essential) Knowledge of current curriculum developments and assessment practices Why Choose This School?
