Sales and Events Manager East London Venue 35-38k plus great commission My client is a vibrant and versatile event space situated in the heart of East London. They offer flexible and innovative venue tailored for all kinds of events, ranging from corporate functions and private parties to experiential activations and large-scale productions. There space is designed to foster creativity, allowing there clients to craft their own unique experiences. They are now looking for an enthusiastic, spirited, and driven Sales & Events Manager to join the team and help them to continue delivering exceptional events t In the role of Sales & Events Manager, you will assist the sales and event management efforts, ensuring the smooth booking and flawless execution of events in the venue. You'll collaborate closely with clients to grasp their event requirements, effectively promote the venue and services, and guarantee that every event unfolds seamlessly. To excel in this role, you should possess a robust sales background, outstanding organisational abilities, and experience managing large-scale events or multiple locations. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who has previously worked in large-scale or multi-site event venues. Proactively generate new business through lead generation, networking, and outreach, targeting both corporate clients and private individuals. Manage and develop a strong sales pipeline, ensuring consistent booking of events and exceeding sales targets. Respond to inquiries, provide site tours, and create tailored proposals based on client needs and event requirements. Build long-term relationships with clients and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, with a focus on repeat business and referrals. Negotiate contracts and manage bookings, ensuring all terms are agreed upon and clear to both parties. Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure that our venue’s profile is consistently elevated through targeted campaigns and social media outreach. Take ownership of the event management process from start to finish, ensuring every detail is handled and the client’s vision is brought to life. Oversee logistics for large-scale events, multi-day bookings, and simultaneous events, ensuring smooth operation across all spaces. Coordinate with internal teams (operations, catering, technical, etc.) to ensure all client requirements are met and the event runs smoothly. Manage on-site client relations during events, handling any issues or requests quickly and efficiently to maintain a high level of client satisfaction. Ensure all events are executed according to safety regulations, venue policies, and health & safety standards. Support and guide junior event coordinators or event assistants in their day-to-day responsibilities, fostering a collaborative environment. Work closely with the operations and technical teams to ensure that each event is executed to the highest standard. Provide post-event feedback to clients and internal teams, identifying areas for improvement and building on successes for future events. Skills & Experience: 3-5 years of experience in sales and events management, preferably in a large-scale or multi-site venue environment. Experience in social venues , experiential events , or similar event sectors is highly desirable but not essential. Proven track record in sales and business development , with a strong focus on driving revenue and managing client relationships. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure, ensuring deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a client-focused approach. Knowledge of venue operations, AV, technical requirements, and event logistics. Proficiency with event management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
