Scope We are seeking an ambitious and forward looking Management Accountant who can add value and support our hotel finance functions. All of which have recently achieved a prestigious Green Key Accreditation, highlighting the company’s progressive credentials in sustainability. · The Dixon London – Marriott Autograph Collection · Lost Property St Pauls, London – Curio Collection by Hilton · Hampton by Hilton London City · Hampton by Hilton Bath · Courtyard by Marriott Oxford · New Opening – London 2025 The Role As Management Accountant you will be the financial business partner to the hotel financial controllers, supporting in all statistics relating to hotel revenue and costs, debtors and creditors and all other financial queries. Other responsibilities include GL reconciliation and accuracy and assisting with the consolidation of group management information including the management accounts. Main Responsibilities Support Hotel Management GMs and FCs in timely regular monthly forecasting. Support the Finance Manager to help to create and analyse annual budgets for the hotels. Support the FF&E treatment in the accounts ensuring entries are correct on the asset register. Excellent understanding of the hotel P&L financials including revenue and cost analysis. Take up a key role in understanding and controlling costs at the hotels and spot anything that falls out of line and the reasons. Prepare and analyse the monthly hotel accounts and consolidated management accounts to a deadline and assist in compilation of presentations for Owners. Check all payroll and payment runs from the hotels for errors. Cashflow forecast for hotels. Reviewing balance sheet across the Group hotels and resolving any variances or points to note. Reconcile all hotel and HQ intercompany balances matrix and reporting timetable including all professional fees paid promptly and post necessary journals. Maintaining the accounts of the Group Holding Company. Help and report on completing VAT, HMRC and insurance returns for each hotel. Act as the hotel helpdesk for any reporting and accounting queries. Assisting with any software problems across the key software systems – Sage 200, Sage 50 and Fourth payroll system. Hotel PMS knowledge would be useful. Maintain the finance relationship with the outsourced procurement partner. Assist in year end audit. To carry out ad-hoc project work. The ideal candidate will Have competent IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint. Be hands on, self-motivated with initiative and proactive work ethos. Have infinite attention to every detail and be accurate. Be analytical with strong communication and problem solving skills. Articulate and thorough, showing attention to detail. Demonstrates excellent inter-personal skills and develops relationships based on mutual respect and professionalism. Self-learning, able to learn new tools quickly and work in a fast-evolving environment. Knowledge of the hospitality industry and previous roles that have had multi-site experience is preferable.
