Job Description

The Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, ensuring strategic alignment, and fostering a high-performing sales culture. The role focuses on achieving consistent growth by leading and managing the activities of the sales team to optimise current operations and drive new business growth. Key Responsibilities: Sales Management : Oversee strategic leadership, performance management, and innovation in sales processes to optimise BDM success and foster client relationship growth. Strategic Leadership : Define sales targets, conduct market analysis, and ensure alignment with company objectives to drive expansion into new markets. Performance Management : Track team performance, provide coaching, and motivate the sales team to exceed targets. BDM Success : Equip the team with resources, training, and collaboration to enable high performance and ensure alignment with organisational goals. Client Relationship Oversight : Oversee strategic accounts, refine sales approaches, and support key client relationships. Innovation & Adaptation : Encourage BDMs to explore new business opportunities, adapting to market trends and technological advancements. Cross-functional Collaboration : Work with departments such as marketing, product development, and service delivery to streamline processes and maximise sales. Building Scalable Sales Operations : Optimise processes, use data analytics to make informed decisions, and ensure the scalability of operations. Core Responsibilities: Manage P&L and budgets for business units to ensure financial performance aligns with targets. Lead demand-generation activities, manage sales opportunities, and track customer satisfaction. Collaborate with various departments to ensure a cohesive, unified approach to sales and business growth. Provide regular performance reports and assess new business opportunities. Lead and manage sales growth initiatives, aligning business goals with commercial and operational strategies. Manage and optimise operational processes, contributing to profitability and customer satisfaction. Staff Leadership & Management: Lead and motivate a high-performing team through clear role definitions, goal-setting, and career development. Foster an environment of continuous improvement and collaboration across the team. Implement performance management processes, ensuring alignment with company strategy and values. Governance, Risk, & Business Continuity Management: Ensure that governance systems, policies, and procedures are in place and compliant with industry standards. Identify and assess risks, driving continuous improvement in business practices. External Parties & Relationship Management: Maintain and develop relationships with key external stakeholders, partners, and service providers to achieve strategic sales objectives. Qualifications, Experience & Skills: Educational Qualifications Business Management degree or equivalent qualification. MBA or equivalent qualification (desirable). Years of Experience At least 8 years of progressive experience in professional services, including leadership and sales management. At least 8 years of experience in selling high-end services and complex IT solutions. At least 3 years of experience managing a sales team. Required Skills & Competencies Strong business acumen and leadership capabilities. Expertise in solution sales methodologies, corporate governance, and customer relationship management. Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage and optimise sales processes in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to drive results and manage performance.
