Contract Snr Project Manager - Enterprise IT - Energy Trading £800-850/day OUTSIDE IR35 6 months initially, (multi year project) Hybrid Working, (must be UK based). We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage large-scale Enterprise IT initiatives. This pivotal role will see you driving the execution of projects focused on modernizing and consolidating IT solution landscapes, including data platforms and business process mapping, while ensuring seamless integration with ERP systems and legacy platforms. As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, overseeing planning, execution, and delivery, all while managing key stakeholders, resources, budgets, and timelines. Your leadership will be instrumental in delivering innovative solutions that support the business's growth and transformation goals. Key Responsibilities: Project Lifecycle Management: Lead the initiation, planning, execution, and closure of projects in alignment with IT governance processes. Define objectives, select vendors, develop milestone plans, and manage change requests to ensure successful project completion. Project Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans, define the scope, estimate delivery efforts, and create resource plans. Manage project teams, track execution timelines, ensure quality standards, and control costs. Technical Delivery Management: Oversee the solution design and technical delivery for data platforms, focusing on business process mapping, data modelling and governance, security, GDPR compliance, data flows, and ERP integration. Ensure alignment with the defined approach throughout the project. Stakeholder Management: Cultivate relationships with key business and IT stakeholders, ensuring their involvement in decision-making processes, resource allocation, and risk management. Vendor Management: Collaborate with Procurement teams to select vendors, develop commercial agreements, monitor vendor performance, and address any performance shortfalls. Demand Management: Facilitate the capture and classification of new business demands for IT initiatives. Support demand prioritisation and communicate outcomes to stakeholders. What You’ll Bring: Proven Experience: Expertise in driving data strategy and platform implementation, particularly for finance and back-office processes. Experience with large-scale IT transformation programs and the modernisation of IT landscapes. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft technology stacks for data platforms, as well as integration with legacy systems and ERP solutions. Background in energy sales and trading business processes is a plus. Project Management Expertise: Strong experience with both agile (including Scrum) and waterfall methodologies, and a solid understanding of IT governance processes. Leadership & Communication Skills: Strong leadership abilities to manage teams and stakeholders, coupled with excellent communication skills (English proficiency is required; German is a plus). Analytical & Structured Thinking: Excellent planning, problem-solving, and risk management skills, with the ability to create transparency across all stages of project delivery.
