Oracle Patching and Release Engineer Location: Work from London office once every fortnight on average, rest from home. Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract (12 months) Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 Start Date: ASAP About the Role: This Regulatory Technology company are seeking an experienced Patching and Release Engineer to manage patching and release activities for Oracle environments. The role involves coordinating out-of-hours patch deployments (after 6 pm UK time) to minimize client disruption and ensuring all patches are thoroughly tested. The successful candidate will work closely with the IT team to ensure compliance, troubleshoot issues, and create software releases. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and deploy patches to Oracle systems. Work with the IT Lead to schedule and plan releases and patches. Conduct out-of-hours patching (evenings and occasional weekends). Monitor and report on patching compliance and effectiveness. Troubleshoot issues and make decisions on patch rollbacks if required. Ensure all patches are tested. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth patching and releases. Required Skills & Experience: Significant experience with Oracle databases (12c/19c) and patch management. Experience in release management, including deploying patches and code to live environments. Familiarity with JIRA, Git, and Azure DevOps for task and release tracking. Ability to work independently, especially during out-of-hours patching.
