Interim Regional Finance Manager

An exciting position has arisen for an Interim Regional Finance Manager to join the team at a leading international health charity. This is a 6 month fixed-term contract focused on delivering efficient financial and management accounting services, with an emphasis on providing budgeting, forecasting and analytical reporting support. Key responsibilities of the role: Support the Head of Finance in reviewing and improving existing financial controls Oversee month-end processes, ensuring all country accounts are closed on time, and prepare consolidated management accounts Ensure accuracy in month-end reconciliations and address issues through tracking documentation Provide analysis of UK management accounts, including variances and KPIs, and ensure accurate project recharges Prepare statutory account schedules and notes, liaising with regional and country finance teams for audit documentation Consolidate and review statutory accounts Assist with implementing audit recommendations and follow up on internal audit reporting Support country offices with project and donor audits Act as Systems Administrator for PS Financials and the new finance software, providing training and maintaining system data integrity Supervise and train the Assistant Financial Accountant and provide finance inductions and ad hoc support as required Essential candidate criteria: Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) Extensive experience in year-end accounting and UK statutory reporting Skilled in management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting software support Proven experience in Finance roles within the UK not-for-profit sector, ideally in an international organisation Agency reference number: J86161 Location: London Length of contract: 6 month fixed term contract Salary: up to £50,000 per annum (pro rata) Working hours: Full time Working pattern: Hybrid (1 day per week in the office) This vacancy will be actively shortlisted so early applications are encouraged to avoid missing out.
