Security Engineer (£80,000-£100,000)

The ideal candidate will bring a comprehensive understanding of coding, cloud infrastructure, and system services, along with a strong capability to fortify these areas without compromising usability. The role emphasizes designing tools and frameworks to embed security as a fundamental component of the development and operational ecosystem. This role involves close collaboration with engineering teams to ensure security is seamlessly integrated into business systems from the ground up, making it a natural part of the platform's functionality. Key Responsibilities: Develop and automate security solutions to streamline integration into development processes. Create software and tools that enhance the security posture across all layers of the platform. Promote and cultivate secure-by-default methodologies across engineering teams. Enhance system security while maintaining a seamless user experience. Act as a mentor, providing guidance to team members on secure development practices. Skills and Qualifications: Strong background in system architecture, cloud platforms, and software security principles. A minimum of 5 years of experience in software and systems engineering.
