Job Description

Atrium UK require a highly experienced Cloud Security Architect for a government client. This is a key role, requiring an Active SC Clearance (used within the last year) to be considered. Location: Hybrid (London-based workshops with occasional travel) Duration: 4-month contract (likely to extend) Rate: Up to £950 per day (inside IR35) The successful candidate will lead the design and documentation of comprehensive security configurations across a cloud environment, with a specific focus on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) . Key deliverables include defining and implementing robust security measures for network, compute, storage, and other cloud resources, as well as ensuring compliance with government security standards. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Security Architecture: Design and document configurations for Cloud Guard , Security Zones , and Web Application Firewalls (WAF) . Define and implement IAM policies , encryption, and tagging standards. Create processes for incident response , vulnerability scanning, and security audits. Compartment and Network Security: Define subnet security requirements (public/private). Develop rules for IPSec VPNs , firewalls, and API gateways. Compute and Storage Security: Configure bastion security and node access controls. Define encryption policies, key rotation processes, and secure access for block volumes and object storage. Compliance and Documentation: Establish naming conventions, tagging policies, and policy statements. Evaluate and audit security zones and vulnerability scanning services. Required Skills and Experience: Proven expertise in cloud security architecture , with specific experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) . Strong ability to design and document security configurations for government-level projects . Previous experience with public sector clients is highly desirable. Active SC Clearance (used within the last year) is mandatory. Work Arrangement: Hybrid role with remote work flexibility. Regular on-site attendance for workshops and meetings, primarily in London, with occasional travel to other UK locations (e.g., Birmingham).
