Employer Description This Shop Fitting company undertakes a variety of retail shop fitting projects. Job Description The Project manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of all export projects. The Project manager needs to perform a wide range of duties including; planning of the project, staffing the project, implementing the project and controlling the project. The Project Manager is responsible for organizing and coordinating operations and procedures in order to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Manage and oversee the proper and effective functioning of the projects. Plan, direct, coordinate and lead the activities of a project to ensure that the goals and objectives are accomplished within the required time and to budget. Establish a project plan for each project and distribute to all parties concerned. Outline the work plan to assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority. Behave ethically and understand the correct business practices. Communicate effectively with your colleagues and clients. Delegate work to staff and managing their workload and output. Hands on management of production to ensure timeous delivery of product. Be creative and develop new and unique ways to improve operations in the work place. Foster teamwork by working cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems and make decisions on jobs, in order to enhance the organizational effectiveness. Demonstrate leadership by positively influencing others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the organization. Make decisions by assessing the situation and determining the importance, urgency and risks of the job. Organize the department and the assigned jobs by setting priorities, developing a work schedule, monitoring job progress and keeping track of all information. Set goals, create and implement action plans and evaluate the process and results. Solve problems that may arise by identifying the cause, gathering and processing the relevant information, generating possible solutions and making recommendations to resolve the problem. Daily planning and status meetings with the project team. Signoff of overtime sheets for staff. Coaching and disciplining of staff. Manage Project expectations and ensure cost engineering and cost savings. Managing of filling systems on network. Ensure adequate staff levels to cover for absenteeism and workload. Ensure adequate staff levels and were required implement night shifts. Proactive planning and daily production planning and factory walks to push production to meet deadlines. Quality control. Resource planning. Risk Management. Qualifications Matric or higher Certification in Project Management Skills Min 5 years experience in Project Management (Shop Fitting) Benefits Negotiable
