This company division specializes in product engineering and sales management for a global customer base, supporting internal business units with innovative technologies, manufacturing operations, and automotive customers worldwide. Position : Technical Sales Manager Location : Remote, based in the Paris, France area Position Summary : Seeking a motivated, self-starter to take on broader responsibilities within the Automotive OEM Supplier industry. The Technical Sales Manager will lead sales initiatives in France and nearby regions, working directly with customers and internal teams to support customer needs as a local representative. Reporting Structure : Reports to the Director of European Sales. Collaborates with the Sales Team, Technical Service Managers, Product Engineers, and the Manufacturing and Engineering departments. Interfaces with OEM customers and various engineering and purchasing teams. Primary Responsibilities : Act as the primary interface for the company’s Global Manufacturing and Engineering centers, focusing on France and collaborating closely with teams in Italy and North America. Build relationships within the company and with customers as a reliable local presence. Lead commercial discussions and prepare quote proposals. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets. Oversee the quoting process and provide information needed for responses. Attend customer meetings to represent the manufacturing division and meet client objectives. Participate in open issues meetings across global manufacturing facilities and engineering centers. Develop presentations for customer technical reviews, ongoing projects, and high-level management reviews. Support discussions to set strategic direction for profitability and operational efficiency. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution. 10 years of experience in technical sales within the automotive industry, ideally with a Tier-1 supplier. Fluent in French and English; knowledge of German is beneficial. Understanding of Automotive OEM processes, systems, and products. Knowledge of automotive components, such as structures, suspension, or mechanisms. Familiarity with engineering disciplines (e.g., GD&T, DFMEA, PPAP/PSW, QOS). Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CAD experience is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Valid documentation to travel internationally for customer and site visits. Work Environment : Up to 25% travel, both local and international. Primarily an office environment, with some physical activity involved occasionally.
