Job Description

Location: Linbro Park Reports to: Fleet Manager Job Type: Full-time Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Junior Fleet Controller to join our team in Linbro Park. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing large fleets and will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of a fleet of 400 vehicles. Strong communication skills, the ability to handle a high volume of tasks, and experience in fleet management are essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: Fleet Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of a fleet of 400 vehicles, ensuring smooth functioning and minimal downtime. Vehicle Tracking: Monitor vehicle locations, maintenance schedules, and fuel consumption to optimize fleet efficiency. Maintenance Coordination: Ensure regular vehicle servicing, inspections, and repairs are carried out in accordance with maintenance schedules. Communication: Liaise with drivers, suppliers, and the internal team to ensure effective communication regarding vehicle status, maintenance, and logistics. Compliance: Ensure all vehicles comply with legal, safety, and regulatory requirements, including licenses, permits, and insurance. Reporting: Generate and maintain accurate reports on fleet performance, maintenance records, and any issues related to the fleet. Problem Solving: Quickly identify and resolve any fleet-related issues, including breakdowns or service disruptions. Fleet Optimization: Work with the team to implement strategies to reduce operating costs and improve fleet performance. Key Skills & Qualifications: Fleet Management Experience: Previous experience as a Fleet Controller, with a proven track record of managing large fleets (preferably 400 vehicles). Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with internal teams, drivers, and external partners. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage the various demands of fleet management. Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure compliance with vehicle maintenance schedules and regulatory requirements. Computer Literate: Proficiency with fleet management software and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word). Team Player: Ability to work well within a team and collaborate across departments. Salary & Benefits: Salary: R20,000 R25,000 per month, based on experience Pension: Pension benefits included
