Senior Workshop Supervisor/Operations Manager Job Description My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Workshop Supervisor/Operations Manager to join their growing organisation. They specialise in Heavy Engineering and looking for someone that has worked their way up from boilermaker to snr Workshop/Ops Manager. About the Role This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations, ensuring smooth project execution, and driving business growth. About the individual: Looking for a results-driven leader with extensive experience in complex, heavy manufacturing environments. Someone who possess strong leadership skills, a hands-on management approach, and the ability to influence and motivate a challenging workforce. They need to be able to uphold operational excellence while inspiring your team to perform at their best. They will also require the financial acumen to manage budgets and complex reporting and excel at improving systems, maintaining compliance, and driving efficiency. Responsibilities: • Operations Management: Develop and implement effective operational strategies, focusing on efficiency, productivity, and quality control. • Team Leadership: Build, lead and manage a workshop team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high-performance teams. • Project Planning: Plan, coordinate, and execute projects from initiation to completion, adhering to schedules, budgets, and quality standards. • Communication: Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams through clear, concise, and effective communication. • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals, leveraging diverse skills and expertise. Requirements: • Education: Engineering related qualification. • Experience: 5 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably in a similar appointment. • Skills: Strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). • Licenses/Certifications: Possession of a Code B license.
