About the Company An international law firm is looking for a Claims Lawyer (Professional Indemnity) to join their team in either their Manchester office. This role would be ideal for a Solicitor with litigation experience, particularly in lawyers’ professional negligence who is looking to transition into an in-house role; Alternatively; a solicitor with Professional Indemnity experience who is currently working at an insurer. About the Role Key Responsibilities Claims Lawyer (Professional Indemnity): Manage PI claims, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations, and support the Head of PI in overseeing claims exposure and management. Coordinate with fee-earning teams and PI insurers to handle live claims and risk issues. Identify claims trends and collaborate with client operations for process improvement. Participate in the firm’s global PI and cyber insurance placement and manage regulatory investigations and other contentious issues. Work with the Finance team to address claims' financial impacts. Develop and deliver training to reinforce best practices and mitigate repeated errors across the firm. Responsibilities Qualifications: Qualified lawyer, preferably with experience in an international law firm and a focus on professional negligence. Litigation experience, particularly in lawyers’ professional negligence. Strong communication, project management, and decision-making skills. Proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.
