SAP EHS Consultant - Implementation & Configuration

Overview : The SAP EHS Consultant plays a pivotal role in supporting organizations to effectively manage Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations and their compliance within SAP systems. This position is integral to ensuring businesses not only adhere to applicable regulatory frameworks but also enhance operational processes by leveraging the full capabilities of the SAP EHS solution. The consultant will serve as a bridge between IT and the various business units, providing guidance and recommendations that align with best practices in EHS management. With a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, the SAP EHS Consultant will conduct assessments, design solutions, and implement strategic initiatives to mitigate risks associated with workplace safety, environmental sustainability, and chemical management. Key Responsibilities : - Implement and configure SAP EHS solutions according to client requirements. - Analyze business processes and regulatory requirements to tailor solutions. - Conduct gap analysis and develop strategies for compliance improvements. - Design and optimize workflows within the SAP EHS module. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements. - Provide expert advice on regulatory compliance and risk management. - Conduct training sessions and workshops for end-users. - Create and maintain technical documentation for EHS processes. - Support data migration and system integration activities. - Monitor and evaluate EHS performance metrics. - Assist in troubleshooting and resolving system issues. - Stay updated on industry trends and evolving EHS regulations. - Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates. - Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets. - Facilitate knowledge transfer and best practices throughout the organization. Required Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience as an SAP EHS Consultant or similar role. - Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance standards. - Proven experience in implementing and managing SAP EHS solutions. - Expertise in process mapping and re-engineering. - Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies. - Understanding of company-specific EHS policies and procedures. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. - Experience in project management and stakeholder engagement. - Proficient in SAP configuration and data management. - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. - Certification in EHS-related fields is an advantage. - Knowledge of sustainability practices and initiatives. - Willingness to travel as needed for project assignments.
