SAP ABAP Consultant - S/4HANA/CDS View

Job Description : - Create and implement Core Data Services (CDS) views to enable effective data modeling and reporting. - Use ABAP Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) to develop scalable, reusable, and maintainable code. - Optimize and upgrade ABAP programs in the SAP S/4HANA system to improve performance and efficiency. RICEF Development : - Develop Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms (RICEF) per business specifications. - Implement data migration strategies and integration solutions to align with SAP S/4HANA and third-party systems. - Define functional specifications for RICEF objects and ensure business requirements are met in development. S/4HANA and Integration : - Design and implement native SAP S/4HANA solutions using ABAP, CDS views, and SAP Fiori. - Develop integration strategies between SAP S/4HANA and external systems through IDocs, APIs, and RFCs. - Perform data migration and system integration to move data from legacy systems to S/4HANA. Quality Assurance & Support : - Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing of custom ABAP programs and SAP solutions. - Provide technical support and perform troubleshooting to resolve issues with SAP applications. - Perform post-deployment support, monitor performance, and ensure smooth operation of ABAP-based solutions. Collaboration & Documentation : - Work closely with business analysts, functional consultants, and stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements. - Document technical specifications, development processes, and system designs following best practices. - Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on ABAP, CDS, and S/4HANA development. Knowledge Sharing & Continuous Improvement : - Keep up to date with new SAP technologies, S/4HANA features, and best practices for continuous improvement. - Share knowledge and train team members on the latest SAP development practices and tools. Required Qualifications : - Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience : - 5-8 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with at least 3 years of experience in SAP S/4HANA. - Proven expertise in Core Data Services (CDS) views and SAP Fiori development. - Hands-on experience with RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms). - Strong knowledge of S/4HANA architecture, data models, and tables. Technical Skills : - ABAP : Proficient in ABAP/4, ABAP Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), ABAP Workbench, and ABAP Development Tools (ADT). - Core Data Services (CDS) : Extensive experience in designing and implementing CDS views in SAP S/4HANA. - S/4HANA : In-depth understanding of SAP S/4HANA data structures, tables, and performance optimization. - SAP Fiori/UI5 : Familiarity with Fiori app development and customization to enhance user experience. - Integration : Expertise in SAP integration tools like IDocs, BAPIs, APIs, RFCs, and Web Services. - Database Knowledge : Solid experience with HANA database and performance tuning for ABAP applications. - Version Control : Familiarity with tools like GIT for version control of SAP developments. Soft Skills : - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with business and technical teams. - Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams and provide leadership and guidance to junior developers. - Ability to work in Agile environments and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - Detail-oriented and organized, ensuring accuracy and consistency in documentation and deliverables. Desired Skills : - Cloud Technologies : Familiarity with SAP Cloud Platform (SCP) and SAP Integration Suite for cloud-based integrations. - ABAP on HANA : Experience with ABAP on HANA and the optimization of ABAP programs to leverage HANA's in-memory capabilities. - SAP BW : Experience in SAP BW and using SAP Analytics Cloud for reporting and business intelligence (ref:hirist.tech)
