Head of FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Tolouse, France Our client is a private equity-backed industrials business with a strong focus on innovation, operational excellence, and driving sustainable growth. Backed by a reputable PE firm , the company is at an exciting stage of its development, and they are seeking a highly experienced Head of FP&A to play a pivotal role in delivering strategic financial insight, supporting the leadership team, and driving overall business performance. About the role : As the Head of FP&A, you will work closely with the CFO and management team to shape and execute the company’s financial strategy, delivering high-quality, timely insights that directly impact business growth and decision-making. Collaborate with various business units and leadership teams to address key business challenges and develop solutions through proactive financial analysis. Lead and develop a high-performing FP&A team, ensuring the accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of financial insights and analysis that drive business decisions. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, ensuring precision and alignment with the company’s strategic goals, working alongside Treasury, Reporting, and Business leaders. Drive larger strategic decision-making processes by preparing detailed investment business cases and providing actionable financial insights. Develop and refine financial processes to optimize performance, particularly in working capital management and process automation, continuously improving efficiency and outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Deliver timely, high-quality financial forecasting and variance analysis to support business decisions. Partner with senior leaders on investment business cases and support long-term strategic initiatives. Develop and implement processes to optimize working capital and streamline financial operations. Prepare and present management reports with detailed analysis and commentary for the leadership team. Ensure accurate financial forecasting and maintain oversight of bank covenants and compliance. Continuously improve FP&A processes, with a focus on automation and operational efficiency. Candidate Profile & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred. Experience: 10 years of finance or business finance experience, ideally within industrial or manufacturing environments. Strong understanding of finance and management accounting, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Proven ability to lead, develop, and mentor teams while driving process improvements and financial performance. Strong project management and analytical skills with a results-driven, hands-on mentality. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels.
