Senior Works Manager

Abatec is recruiting for a Senior Works Manager to join one of South West’s biggest Civil Engineering projects. This is an opportunity to join an award-winning tier-one contractor that has secured an exciting, challenging, and ongoing project in Plymouth, Devon. The successful candidate will have previously worked in a similar position on major projects and will be required to manage the technical compliance of the project to the design specification to fulfil the assigned project safely, on time, and to the required quality. As a Senior Works Manager you will: Report into the Project Director providing progress reports and identifying any risks of delays due to manpower, plant or materials. Motivate Works Managers, site operatives and subcontractors to ensure programme dates are met Be responsible for permits and approvals for the schemes Assist in resolving site/construction issues Ensure schemes are constructed in accordance to the approved design Ensure workforce adhere to H&S and Environmental rules Our client requires a Senior Works Manager with: Valid CSCS Gold or above SMSTS/SSSTS A good understating of construction health & safety protocols. Excellent communication skills. A background in Civil engineering.
