Software Engineer - C/Unix/Linux

Roles & Responsibilities : C Programming on Unix/Linux: Design, develop, and maintain applications using C programming language on Unix/Linux platforms. Unix/Linux System Expertise: Strong understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems, with hands-on experience in shell scripting (e.g, Bash, KornShell) for automation and system administration tasks. SQL Development: Write complex SQL queries, optimize them for performance, and manage relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server. Database Design: Involved in database design, including creating tables, indexes, views, stored procedures, and triggers to ensure efficient and scalable database structures. Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks in both C applications and SQL queries, and apply optimization techniques to improve system performance. Version Control & Collaboration: Utilize Version Control Systems like Git or SVN for code management, collaboration, and ensuring efficient code delivery. Problem Solving & Debugging: Troubleshoot and debug issues in both C applications and SQL, providing efficient and reliable solutions. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, propose technical solutions, and deliver results in a timely manner. Required Skills & Experience: Experience : - 6 years of experience in C programming on Unix/Linux systems. Unix/Linux Knowledge : - Strong proficiency with Unix/Linux systems and shell scripting (e.g, Bash, KornShell). SQL Expertise : - Extensive experience with SQL and working with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL Server. Database Design : - Hands-on experience in creating and managing database structures (tables, views, stored procedures, triggers). Optimization Skills : - Strong understanding of performance optimization techniques for both C-based applications and SQL queries.
