Full Stack Software Engineer - Supply Chain Analytics Algorithms

Job Title : Full Stack Software Engineer This individual will be responsible for creating products that host Supply Chain Analytics algorithms. We are looking for someone with full-stack experience, even if the specialty is in one area. The ideal candidate should have 7 years of experience in software engineering and testing, experience working in an Agile environment, and familiarity with Rally. This person will interact with Ford leadership and must possess strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and be comfortable taking initiative without being told what to do. Responsibilities : - Practice software engineering excellence while developing web applications and tools from a backlog, utilizing pair programming and other Agile practices. - Collaborate with application development teams and drive change as a change agent. - Help PDO teams adopt new ways of working and contribute to Ford's institutional knowledge. - Advocate for the use of Agile principles and proven practices such as test-driven development (TDD). - Become an experienced software engineer who can mentor teams on Agile ways of working and produce well-crafted code. Skills Required : - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - 7 years of Java and Spring Boot development experience. - 3 years of experience with Angular. - A passion for becoming a Software Engineer who takes pride in clean code. - Strong desire to learn new skills and apply them to solve business problems and opportunities. Skills Preferred : - Full-stack experience. - In-depth knowledge of any programming language. - Experience in automated testing (Unit, Integration, E2E). - Familiarity with deploying to cloud platforms, preferably GCP or AWS. - Experience delivering products that include web front-end development (JavaScript, client-side MVC frameworks like Angular, etc.). - Proficiency in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools and pipelines, such as Jenkins, Gradle, etc. Experience Required : - 7 years of experience in software engineering and testing, with a focus on full-stack development. - Experience working in an Agile environment. - Experience with Rally for Agile project management. - Ability to interact with leadership and take initiative without waiting for direction.
