Automation Test Engineer - Java/Selenium

Job Description : - Analyze business and functional requirements to develop comprehensive test scenarios. - Design, write, and execute test cases for various testing types, including functional, regression, non functional, smoke, browser compatibility, retesting, and database testing. - Automate test cases using Selenium WebDriver with Java, implementing the Page Object Model (POM) for efficient test script maintenance. - Conduct API testing using tools like Postman and Rest Assured to verify API functionality and data integrity. - Actively participate in Agile development practices, including scrum meetings and test planning sessions. - Maintain a clear traceability matrix to ensure all requirements are covered by test cases. - Utilize version control tools like Git/GitHub and CI/CD tools like Jenkins to manage code and automate testing processes. - Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers) to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs, contributing to continuous product improvement. - Document and report test results and bugs using tools like JIRA. Technical Skills : - Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, BDD frameworks (e., Cucumber), and Maven. - Proven proficiency in Java. - Basic understanding of Python is a plus. - Familiarity with API testing tools like Rest Assured and Postman. - Database Testing: Proficient in MySQL and the ability to write effective SQL queries. - Basic understanding of performance testing tools like JMeter is a plus. - Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins. - Version Control : Proficiency in Git/GitHub. - Operating Systems : Basic understanding of UNIX commands is beneficial (ref:hirist.tech)
