Eurochiller Srl, part of the Atlas Copco Group, is a leading European designer and manufacturer of customized chillers and thermoregulation units, with a specific focus on plastic applications. The company has two fully-certified production sites located in the North of Italy and Slovakia. Eurochiller is now looking for a new Project Engineer Mechanical Designer based in the Italian Site in Castello D’Agogna – PV. The Role Job Description Are you passionate about new innovations and eager to develop the future sustainable chillers/coolers products from concept to production? In our team within the R&D department, we are looking for a motivated Project Engineer Mechanical Designer with a pro-active attitude to join our mission in developing and improving chillers and coolers. You will be a member of the R&D team, which consists of several project leaders, designers, and technology experts dedicated to the development of state-of-the-art chillers/coolers. Your Role We are looking for a creative Project Engineer Mechanical Designer to work on all product stages from research and development to design and manufacture. The Mechanical Designer will develop detailed 3D CAD models and perform strength analysis of mechanical component parts, including sub-assemblies and complete assemblies to support R&D projects; creating detailed proto/assembly drawings along with performing engineering changes on existing drawings. The Mechanical Designer will support multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment and overlook the work of our internal studio (Gecia). More specific: Concept design in 3D-CAD of products layout and components: piping, castings, machine parts, sheet metal. Detail design in 2D. First strength analysis on designs (FEA). Follow-up of prototype assembly and testing. Delegate repetitive and standard design to internal design studio (Gecia). Set-up of instructions and technical specifications (applying standards and legislations ISO, CE, PED, ASME, …). Support other departments in the company with technical information. Create and keep technical information updated (drawings, bill-of-material, purchase specifications and technical agreements). Final release of drawings, BOM’s, documentation and instructions for production with the support of other departments in the company. After you have gained knowledge in the products, you will cooperate with your colleagues from production and service to solve problems related to the technical specifications. What We Look For Experience and Knowledge Requirements Master’s degree in mechanical engineering (industrial engineering area) or similar through experience. General technical knowledge. Strong interest in concept design. Knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD like AutoCAD and Inventor is a plus. Knowledge of strength analysis designs (FEA). Good knowledge of English.
