Job Description

As part of its continued expansion, the company seeks to appoint within the Sales & Marketing Department a Business Development Manager Europe (full-time permanent contract). Assignments The Candidate will be responsible for the acquisition of orders/contracts through direct contact with potential clients, participation in international tenders, and the development of relationships with existing and new clients. It is part of the position to develop and maintain the network of agents/importers in key areas. The position will involve intensive travel and presence in the area. The role is suited to an experienced professional, passionate about art, history, museums, and artifact conservation, with a strong technical background, who has worked in a similar position at international companies operating on a project/contract basis. Key Responsibilities Working closely with the family-run management and the commercial department to lead the development of bids or negotiations up to the successful conclusion. Developing and maintaining business contacts. Conducting proposal presentations to potential clients. Maintaining contact with Clients, Architects, and Main contractors in the international market area. Cooperation with strategic partner companies and subcontractors on each project. Coordination with the Goppion Management to establish short- and long-term sales strategies. Awareness of and counsel regarding international norms in cultural and legal issues pertaining to sales. As a key member of the business development team, fully engage and contribute to the business’ growth, innovation, and profitability. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal Candidate has: A bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Architecture or Engineering and, preferably, a postgraduate qualification. Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages is appreciated. Experience with customized construction project work in the international market from both the private and public sectors. 5 years of experience in business development required. Strong communication and presentation skills and a thorough knowledge of various international cultures. Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities. A natural ability to engage in business relationships with individuals and groups and a desire to improve these talents. The willingness to be a strong team player; straightforward, open, and direct with the ability to work effectively with personnel of different disciplines and levels from the Director downwards.
