Maintenance Shift Manager

A Shropshire based food manufacturing company are looking to recruit a multi skilled Maintenance Shift Supervisor / Manager for their production facility based in Market Drayton. This company is seeing significant growth and development to become one of the leading food manufacturers in the UK As a Maintenance Shift Supervisor you will lead and manage your shift of 4 engineers who provide engineering support to the production area and are responsible for reactive and proactive maintenance of plant, equipment, and any auxiliary systems. Role: Multi skilled with electrical and mechanical knowledge 4 on 4 off Days and Night shifts (rotating) Opportunity to work in a modern manufacturer Approx 70% on the tools and 30% office for paperwork and reports etc Benefits: Salary of c£53k Benefits Subsidised canteen Onsite free parking Key responsibilities of Maintenance Shift Manager: Assist team to work towards maximum plant and equipment efficiency so downtime is minimised Ensure planned engineering tasks are delivered on time and in full Ensure good repair / manufacturing practices and procedures are followed Ensure completion of planned maintenance documents / CMMS Work closely with production staff to achieve daily targets Contribute to cost reduction initiatives to drive efficiency and process improvements Ensure all work competed by engineering team is documented in a daily shift report Monitor, and approve time sheets for the team and perform general HR duties such as return to work interviews, investigations and individual 121 performance reviews.
