As a Senior Staff Embedded Automotive Software Definition Engineer, you will act as a key driver for our new microcontroller platform to define the software concepts and product requirements with focus on automotive software for MCAL, IVN and communication layers. In this role at Infineon, you will have ‘hands-on experience’ as you are in charge of the software, but you can easily get in touch with real hardware. Job Description As a Senior Staff Embedded Automotive Software Definition Engineer, you will define software architectures optimized for Infineon automotive microcontroller. You will have a focus on middleware & low layer software with a focus on MCAL, IVN and communication layers. In your new role you will: Engage in technical discussions with internal & external stakeholders Formulate unambiguous product requirements Specify unambiguous verification criteria for product requirements Participate in formal reviews of requirements & architecture specifications Analyze change requests and/or bug reports related to requirements or architecture Follow the formal process based on V-model, ISO26262, ISO21434 & ASPICE . Your Profile You are quality oriented, self-motivated and remain focused on solutions even in complex situations. You also cooperate across boundaries and contribute to a great team atmosphere by open and constructive communication. You are best equipped for this task if you have: A university degree in technical studies, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Information Technology or equivalent field of studies A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in Embedded Automotive Software Knowledge in real-time OSs, low-level drivers and communication protocols Good knowledge of Requirement Engineering, Embedded C & UML Knowledge in automotive standards & processes as ISO26262, ISO21434 & ASPICE AUTOSAR CP AP knowledge is a plus Automotive IVN and ethernet knowledge is a plus Fluent English skills.
