Job Description

CNC Miller Location: St Ives, Cambridgeshire Job Type: Full-time Salary: £39,520 - £43,680pa Reed Engineering are seeking a CNC Miller to join a long-established engineering company renowned for manufacturing high-quality components across various industries. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in producing precision parts from the design-prototype stage through to production, focusing on small batch and prototype machining. Day-to-day of the role: Program, set, and operate CNC Mills to produce high precision components. Set up new products on machines, ensuring accurate and efficient production. Maintain tooling equipment and manage machine operations to meet production deadlines. Run production jobs on CNC machines and carry out all necessary inspections to ensure parts are manufactured correctly according to the drawings. Work closely with the team to meet tight production deadlines and contribute to the expansion and development of the machine shop. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience using Heidenhain controls and/or Haas controls. Proficiency with Mastercam software and One CNC. Strong personal motivation and commitment to achieving production targets. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a small team. Keen to contribute to the growth and development of the machine shop environment. Benefits: Four-day work week (Monday to Thursday, 7am-5pm). 25 days holiday including bank holidays.
