Audit Assistant Manager Milton Keynes Salary: Up to £55,000 dependant on experience AJ Chambers is representing a top 15 firm in search of an Audit Assistant Manager. This firm builds strong, trusted client relationships and serve a diverse range of businesses, from entrepreneurs to multinational corporations. They offer a comprehensive suite of services across the UK, driving growth and long-term success. Your role Responsibilities Manage client correspondence, scheduling, and audit planning. Supervise and review work of senior and junior staff, ensuring the file is complete and all review points are addressed before it is passed to the partner and manager Handle critical audit areas and occasional advisory work Monitor budgets, deadlines, and progress on audits Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff Assist with business development, tenders, and networking Conduct client on-site visits and appraisals Involved in tenders and presentations on audits & accounts Identify new business opportunities Establish local business contacts/networking Monitor performance of staff working on jobs, including giving feedback after file review. Conduct 6 monthly appraisals for trainees Your Qualifications/skills needed ACCA/ACA qualified with Strong audit experience (planning to completion) At least 2 years, post-qualification experience Knowledge of accounting standards (SORP, FRS 102) Proficient in Excel, Word, Sage, CaseWare, and related software Supervisory experience and strong communication skills Ability to work under pressure Team building skills Organisational skills What do you get?
