Financial Accountant

Reed are looking for a financial accountant to join our client in the manufacturing industry who are based in St Ives. They are looking for a financial accountant to join their team on a temporary basis, with the length of contract initially being 3-4 weeks but this is likely to be extended. This position can pay a rate of £250 p/d through PAYE or £300 Umbrella. Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience with P&L, balance sheet and reconciliations. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Perform month-end and year-end close processes. Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts. Provide financial analysis and reports to management. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits. Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed. Qualifications: Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred. Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
