Field Service Engineer

RT - Field Service Engineer Location: Nottingham Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 Door-to-Door & Van Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently searching for a Field Service Engineer on behalf of one of our clients. The client is seeking a Field Service Engineer with experience in installing and maintaining door access systems, alarms, automated gates, and CCTV. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and the technical expertise to install, troubleshoot, and repair security equipment effectively. Our client strongly encourages applications from ex-military personnel, but all candidates will be considered. Duties and Responsibilities: Install and configure door access control systems, including card readers, keypads, biometric scanners, and intercoms. Install and program alarm systems, including sensors, control panels, and communication devices. Install and integrate automated gate systems, including motors, control mechanisms, and safety features. Conduct site surveys to assess electrical requirements and determine optimal equipment placement. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with security systems, including wiring, power supply, and communication protocols. Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure system reliability. Provide training and technical support to clients on system usage and operation. Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure timely completion of installations and service calls. Adhere to safety standards and regulations on job sites. Skills and Qualifications: Experience in installing and configuring door access control systems, alarms, and automated gates. Strong understanding of electrical principles, wiring diagrams, and low-voltage systems. Hold relevant qualifications within the electrical field. Knowledge of codes and regulations governing security system installations. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's licence.
