Group Financial Controller

About the Role: My client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Group Financial Controller to lead and create a Group Finance Function. This is a critical role reporting directly to the SMT and PE Backers and will be instrumental in driving financial performance and operational efficiency. This role requires a hands-on leader with a proven track record of transformation and change management. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of the group's financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management. Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture. Drive process improvements and implement best practices across the finance function. Manage the relationship with external auditors and other key stakeholders. Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations. Contribute to the development and execution of the company's financial strategy. Work closely with the private equity investors, providing timely and accurate financial information. Qualifications and Experience: 3 years of experience as a Group Financial Controller in a multi-divisional SME structure. Extensive experience in leading and executing finance team and process transformations (change management). Deep understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management. Experience managing cash flow in a private equity-backed environment. Experience working with complex ERP systems. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
