Relief Security Officer

Area Security Officer, Zero hours contract, depending on acceptance of offered shifts. Site specific pay. Area Security Officer required for shifts at various sites in the area of Brighton Shifts WILL include days, nights and weekends as required. Duties include access control, patrolling, locking, and unlocking of buildings, CCTV Monitoring, Reception cover and other security tasks as required. Previous Front of House Security or Receptionist role experience an advantage and exceptional communication skills and personal appearance are essential. Own transport essential due to locations. Applicants must be available for immediate start. Applicants must hold a valid SIA licence. Applicant must be able to present 5-year employment/education history upon application. The employer has claimed an exception under the Equality Act. Responsibilities: - Conduct regular patrols to ensure the security and safety of the premises - Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect any suspicious activity - Respond promptly to alarms and investigate disturbances - Provide assistance to staff and visitors in a professional and courteous manner - Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals entering the premises - Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities - Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary - Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions or damage - Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Security Officer or similar role - Knowledge of surveillance techniques, CCTV systems, and access control procedures - Familiarity with emergency response procedures and first aid techniques - Excellent observation skills and attention to detail - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations Job Types: Permanent, Zero hours contract Pay: £11.44-£12.00 per hour Benefits: Company pension On-site parking ADZN1_UKTJ
