Head of Finance

Part Time Head of Finance (number 1 in finance) - 2 days per week | London (predominantly remote working - 2 days per month office based) | £70,000 - £75,000 (full time equivalent) The Opportunity Agile and modern digital media & branding agency have an interesting and rewarding opportunity for a senior finance professional to join them on a part time basis (circa 2 days per week). As Head of Finance you will be the primary finance contact for the group - reporting to the MD / Founder. You’ll be an absolutely vital sounding board for the team during a period of exciting investment and scale up. The business operate a hybrid flexible working model and is is likely you will spend 2 days a month in the office (in central London) and the rest of your time working remotely. It’s a part time role (2 days per week) and offers superb work life balance. You can also have a real impact. There’s lots of exciting growth planned and some super interesting projects / clients in the pipeline. You’ll be working with creatives who are masters of their craft and it’s a hugely collaborative and interesting environment / culture. The role will include - management accounting / board pack prep and presentation, budgeting, forecasting and cash management, MI and commercial insights around project profitability, cost trending, variances etc… the full train set for a growth SME. You’ll be someone who is comfortable working with a high degree of independence but also able to slot into a collaborative team. You’ll need to be comfortable presenting financial info to a diverse non finance audience including key stakeholders / MD. This is a permanent role - 2 days per week initially. Required: CIMA, ACCA or ACA - completed professional qualification. Previous experience of managing the finance function of a modern and growing SME (ideally within an agency / marketing / creative arena). Ability to commit to a long term part time assignment. Confidence when working with a high degree of autonomy. A hands on approach to drilling down into the nitty gritty whilst also having the ability to 'zoom out’ and have strategic input.
