Plant Maintenance Technician/Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and reliable JCB Plant Maintenance Technician/Engineer . This role is critical in ensuring the safe, efficient operation of construction machinery, by performing repairs and routine maintenance on-site, in compliance with manufacturer specifications. Key Responsibilities: Machine Maintenance & Repair: Carry out repairs and regular maintenance of construction machinery to ensure it meets manufacturers specifications and is fit for safe use. Inspection & Fault Detection: Perform detailed inspections of machinery to identify and address any defects or issues likely to affect safe operation. Promptly report critical defects to the management team. Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary paperwork (both hard copies and electronic records) in a timely manner to document maintenance activities and repairs. Parts Ordering: Work closely with the parts team to ensure the correct parts are ordered promptly to support timely repairs. Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of workmanship, with a focus on achieving right first time repairs and maximizing operational efficiency. General Duties: Undertake any other relevant duties as directed by management, ensuring operational needs are met. Required Criteria: Qualification/Experience: A relevant qualification in Construction/Plant Maintenance or significant experience as a time-served technician/engineer specializing in plant machinery maintenance. Technical Skills: Proven experience in the repair and maintenance of construction plant machinery, including expertise in diesel engines, hydraulics, electrics, transmissions, and fault finding. Work Ethic: Ability to work independently with a methodical and responsible approach to maintenance tasks. Commitment to Safety: A strong focus on working safely and efficiently, with an eye for detail and quality. Driving License: A valid full driving license is essential for traveling to customer sites. Desirable Criteria: CSR Card: A valid CSR card would be an advantage, although not essential.
