DevOps Engineer (Golang) Rate: £300 per day Inside IR35 Duration: 6 Months (likely extended) Location: Burgess Hill - Hybrid (3 days onsite per week) Our client is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong infrastructure background and coding experience to support high-scale, event-driven distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and automation. Key Responsibilities Understand and modify code to enhance infrastructure performance. Work on high-scale distributed systems involving Kafka, Cassandra, and Postgres , including load balancing. Build custom command-line tooling for infrastructure decommissioning activities. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines as code in a GitHub environment. Implement and optimise containerisation strategies. Monitor large-scale distributed systems using Open Telemetry, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana . Essential Skills and Experience Strong DevOps and infrastructure expertise . Hands-on coding experience beyond simple scripts (GoLang preferred). Deep understanding of event-driven architecture and cloud infrastructure . Experience with CI/CD automation and GitHub-based workflows. Proficiency in containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
