Transition Coach

Transition Coach – $20.00 p/h commensurate with experience – FCI Milan, Michigan The Role Are you a skilled coach with a strong understanding of spiritual growth and personal transformation? Do you have experience supporting individuals through life-changing transitions? At FCI Milan, we are seeking a qualified and motivated Transition Coach to join our Life Connections Program (LCP), a faith-based initiative aimed at reducing recidivism and supporting personal transformation. You will play an integral role in supporting Adult in Custody (AIC) participants at FCI Milan. The position involves working with a multi-faith group, offering both religious coaching and life-skills guidance. You will be expected to develop programs, track community service hours, and assist AICs with their transition into the community. This role offers the opportunity to foster spiritual growth and contribute to reducing recidivism. This is a part-time, 1099 vacancy. Contract: 5 Years, up to 30 hours per week Please note: any qualified candidates selected for an interview will be asked to provide applicable supporting documents, i.e. photocopies of degree(s) or transcripts, copies of certifications, ordination certificates, etc. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and group coaching sessions with AICs, focusing on personal development and spiritual growth. Develop and implement seminars, workshops, and other support activities. Track AICs’ community service hours and provide job-related information. Foster relationships with a broad range of religious communities, including Protestant, Catholic, Muslim, Jewish, Pagan, and Buddhist. Support the creation of victim impact programs that help AICs take responsibility for their actions. Attend relevant training and adhere to all security and institutional guidelines. The Person We are looking for someone with: A recognized ordination certificate or equivalent, demonstrating spiritual leadership. A minimum of three years of experience as a minister or religious leader. A bachelor’s degree in religion, psychology, counselling, or a related field. A certification in Microsoft Excel or enrolment in the Microsoft Office Specialist: Excel Associate Certification program.
