SAP Basis Consultant

Job Title : SAP Basis Consultant Location : Pune/Hyderabad Experience : 6 years Job Description : We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have more than 6 years of experience in SAP Basis administration, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of SAP systems. You will work with a dynamic team to manage and troubleshoot various SAP environments, including SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW, and other related SAP modules. Key Responsibilities : SAP System Administration : - Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, etc.) including patching, upgrades, and system refreshes. SAP Landscape Management : - Manage multiple SAP systems across various environments (Dev, QA, Prod) with minimal downtime and optimal performance. System Monitoring & Performance Tuning : - Continuously monitor SAP systems for performance issues, resolve them, and recommend improvements. User Administration & Security : - Manage user profiles, roles, authorizations, and access control to ensure the security and integrity of the SAP systems. Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution : - Analyze and resolve SAP system issues, performance bottlenecks, and incidents promptly. Backup & Disaster Recovery : - Implement and manage backup procedures, ensure data integrity, and handle disaster recovery processes. Transport Management : - Ensure proper transport management across all SAP landscapes, including configuration of transport routes. SAP HANA Database Management (Optional) : - Basic HANA database administration, backup, restore, and troubleshooting. Collaboration : - Work closely with functional and technical teams to provide efficient support for SAP systems and ensure alignment with business processes. Documentation & Reporting : - Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, issues, and solutions. Provide regular status updates and reports to stakeholders. Upgrades & Patches : Plan and execute SAP system upgrades and patching procedures to keep the systems current and secure. Required Skills : - Minimum 6 years of experience in SAP Basis with a strong understanding of system architecture and configuration. - Expertise in SAP installation, configuration, and administration (ECC, S/4HANA, BW). - Experience with system performance tuning and troubleshooting in SAP environments. - Strong knowledge of SAP security, user roles, and authorizations. - Hands-on experience with SAP HANA database administration (optional). - Familiarity with transport management, system monitoring, and backup/restore processes. - Good understanding of operating systems (Linux/Unix/Windows) and database management (Oracle, HANA). - Strong communication and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Preferred Qualifications : - SAP Certification in Basis or HANA Administration is a plus. - Experience with SAP Cloud technologies and integration is desirable. - Knowledge of automation tools and scripting (e.g., Perl, Shell scripting) is a plus.
